Anna Rachel Troy

Anna Rachel Troy (she/her) is a versatile director, designer, and producer based in Chicago. She is the founding Artistic Director of Theatre EVOLVE and a co-founder of Chicago Artist Atlas.
In the world of theatre, Anna has worn many hats—producer, actor, costume designer, marketing manager, and casting director—but her true passion lies in directing. Known for fostering a warm and collaborative environment, Anna empowers artists to reach their full potential. She has directed productions across Iowa, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Chicago. Notably, her work with Theatre EVOLVE includes the inaugural production of Twelfth Night and the well-received Krugozor! by Katie Coleman. Upcoming you can see her directing work in MEDEAMEDEAMEDEA at The Edge Off Broadway from May 23rd - June 22nd.
Outside of the theatre, her costume design work has been showcased on popular shows such as Chicago P.D., Chicago Fire, Empire, Shameless, and HBO’s Somebody Somewhere, as well as in various regional commercial projects.
